Constructed Chaos

18"x24" Acrylic on canvas board

Constructed Chaos
is an abstract piece depicting two individuals kissing with masks on. This painting was completed in July 2020, a few months after the pandemic took a strong hold on the nation. This piece is comprised of various layers and textures that represent the obstacles and madness that was to temporarily become our "new normal". The viewer can vaguely see the two embracing, with the gold masks being the element that draws one's eyes behind the various layers. Something new is discovered within these layers the more one closely looks at the piece. The title of the painting also causes the viewer to dive into what "constructed chaos" means to them in regard to the situation at hand. Constructed Chaos is the first, and currently the only painting I have completed that directly references the pandemic--making it a truly original piece.
