Duduzile - The Last Generation
'Duduzile' forms part of the series ''The Last Generation''. The series depicts that of the Mauronte tradition, In Kô, the word "Haâbra" means "writing" but also designs the practice of scarification in West Africa. It involves making sperticeal incisions on the skin using stones, glass or a knife.
From Papua New Guinea to Ethiopia, scars are all ways to express the beauty of identity whether it is community membership or coming of age.
